As you know, the avocado oil has a variety of uses. Below we give you some tips on how to use the oil to take full advantage of its amazing benefits.
On the skin
Lubricate dry areas of the body with avocado oil, for example after a shower or before going to bed. You can also mix the oil with other vegetable oils, such as coconut oil, to give the skin a proper vitamin boost.
Think of! Avocado oil is a bit greasy and more viscous than others, which means that the skin absorbs it slightly more slowly. Therefore, allow it to sink firmly into the skin to reduce the risk of stains on clothing.
The avocado oil can also be used to make a completely natural body scrub. Mix it with a little shea butter, almond oil, powdered sugar and a few drops of essential oil to get a gentle, exfoliating and fragrant scrub. Apply after showering hot for a few minutes to allow the pores to open.
In the face
After you clean your face well, apply avocado oil on the face and around the eyes. Again, this is an oil that is slowly absorbed by the skin, therefore it is better to use during the night than in the morning before day cream and makeup.
The avocado oil effectively removes makeup residue and can be used for cleaning. However, if you have very dry skin, it may be better to clean with water-based products before applying the oil. This way, the skin absorbs the oil better while not making the skin “waterproof”.
For a real avocado treatment – mash a ripe avocado and add a few drops of oil. Apply on the face as a face mask and let sit for 10 – 15 minutes before rinsing off with lukewarm water.
On the hair
The avocado oil is great for use in your hair, especially if you have a dry scalp or dandruff. Massage a few drops into the hair and scalp after a shower for extra shine. This will also provide extra protection to the hair during the day.
You can also wrap your hair with avocado oil for a real thunder treatment. However, this oil is said to be quite viscous, so we recommend you mix with for example almond or jojoba oil before application. Hold for as long as you want, but rinse out very carefully.
So choose the right avocado oil
There are many different varieties of avocado oil to choose from today. What you should consider when buying an oil is that it should be 100 percent natural. The oil should be cold pressed and lack unnecessary additives in the form of chemicals and fillers.
The more natural the oil, the better results you will see.
